Well there have been some really cool things on the internet lately. I have to say that for me the ones that have really stuck as of late have been Doctor Who themed. But there is just so much cool stuff going on and now that we are in the early days of convention season there should be even more coming soon.
It’s always good to make the best out of bad situation.
No matter the age Tony Stark will taunt you.
She has become my new stretching inspiration.
Picard in front of Picard, simple and wonderful.
I’m so excited for Despicable Me 2.
I drive a car that is the right color blue and this is now my next project- TARIDS-ify my car.
I’m going to be trying this out over the weekend. I’ll put up pictures of how it turns out for me.
I have to say rings are pretty much my favorite piece of Jewelry. I like how small and understated they can be, and how gaudy and over the top they can be. I like the idea of nerdy engagement rings and ones that show your nerd pride in a way that can’t really be seen unless you know what you’re looking for.
This is a custom made cylon engagement ring. Now that’s one way to bring nerd fashion to every outfit.
I’m not much of an earrings girl. I just can never seem to keep two little pieces of jewelry together. I think they look awesome but the organizational skills that are required are missing from me. But here are some super awesome nerdtastic ones that inspire me to try again with earrings.
There’s something so almost overly modern about wearing instagram earrings.
Nerdy Jewelry is such a cool quiet way to wear your nerd pride without it being in your face to the world. Most people will just ignore your Yoda earrings or your golden snitch necklace even if they do notice it that it’s office perfect for all but the most
When I was about 3 the 2 halves of the same necklaces necklace was the coolest thing and at 3 that was my ultimate prize at Chuck E Cheese
One of my college roommates was so into typography that we ended up watching the Helvetica movie one night. So this makes me think of her in the best way.
I can’t believe I haven’t talked about nerdy tattoos yet. I have mixed feelings about tattoos. I love them on other people. I think they are so cool and interesting. Except face tattoos. I also hate face cakes, the ones with the edible pictures on them, so maybe it’s just a face thing. I really want to get one in theory but I’m terrified of needles. I also know for me I would probably get bored with the design. When I get a manicure I’ve spent too much money on it to pick it off and change the color but after a certain point that’s all I want to do. I can’t imagine putting something on my body I can’t change.
I remember being about 4 years old and my dad took me to a Star Trek Convention. A few weeks ago I went to a Star Trek Convention and there was a girl there about the same age as I was then and her parents were taking her to her second convention that weekend. Little kids love to play dress up. I know I had a box full of clothes that I could pretend to be anyone in as did many of my friends. Dressing up as what you aren’t isn’t just fun for grown ups. Kids love it too.
Canvas sneakers are a place that you can really add some nerdy flair to your wardrobe.
They’re subtle especially if you’re wearing pants. Geek shoes can go from the casual All Star Chuck or canvas Keds to a going out flat or a custom heel. There are so man awesome options and infinite ways to make it all your own.
