Hey it’s been a while. I got really busy with work. I am so excited for you to see some of the great stuff I’ve been making for TV.. I drove from New Jersey to California in a smart car. The United States is really big. When I was a kid we drove from NJ to Disney World, I thought that was far, but man, I had no idea. This is my car
It was PACKED with all of my stuff, my dad, and me. I’m sure you’re sitting there thinking what does this have to do with being a nerd or fashion and well it does. My car is a TARDIS.
I swear to you as small as those things are I fit everything in it all at one and moved twice. Ones from New Jersey to Orange County California and the other from Orange County to North Hollywood, LA. It’s pretty awesome.
Nerd Fashion doesn’t have to be confined to what you wear on your body, Nerd Fashion is being free enough to being a nerd and feeling good about it. Trust me, when you see someone driving around in a SmartCar, you know they’re a nerd.
Well there have been some really cool things on the internet lately. I have to say that for me the ones that have really stuck as of late have been Doctor Who themed. But there is just so much cool stuff going on and now that we are in the early days of convention season there should be even more coming soon.
It’s always good to make the best out of bad situation.
No matter the age Tony Stark will taunt you.
She has become my new stretching inspiration.
Picard in front of Picard, simple and wonderful.
I’m so excited for Despicable Me 2.
I drive a car that is the right color blue and this is now my next project- TARIDS-ify my car.
I’m going to be trying this out over the weekend. I’ll put up pictures of how it turns out for me.
I have to say rings are pretty much my favorite piece of Jewelry. I like how small and understated they can be, and how gaudy and over the top they can be. I like the idea of nerdy engagement rings and ones that show your nerd pride in a way that can’t really be seen unless you know what you’re looking for.
This is a custom made cylon engagement ring. Now that’s one way to bring nerd fashion to every outfit.
Bracelets are the kind of jewelry that I start the day wearing but never finish the day with. I like the way they look but all of that clanging can get really annoying really fast. So if anyone knows how to defeat this problem I would love to hear it. I wish I could wear them more.
This is definately a bracelet I would wear. Always having an extra flash drive could become a lifesaver.
I always like the idea of a good old fashioned charm bracelet.
I’m not much of an earrings girl. I just can never seem to keep two little pieces of jewelry together. I think they look awesome but the organizational skills that are required are missing from me. But here are some super awesome nerdtastic ones that inspire me to try again with earrings.
There’s something so almost overly modern about wearing instagram earrings.
So I saw this yesterday and it just made me giddy. Well the top part more than the bottom part. It’s so interesting that there have been colors that are just so not the doctor over his probably 1300 years. It’s always crazy to me that there were people who were born before flight existed and saw humans go to the moon, well the doctor was born around the same time as was Muhammad and the Muslim Religion. That’s a really long time. Well, it’s good the doctor has some trends that have lasted since at least his late 200’s.
I remember being about 4 years old and my dad took me to a Star Trek Convention. A few weeks ago I went to a Star Trek Convention and there was a girl there about the same age as I was then and her parents were taking her to her second convention that weekend. Little kids love to play dress up. I know I had a box full of clothes that I could pretend to be anyone in as did many of my friends. Dressing up as what you aren’t isn’t just fun for grown ups. Kids love it too.
Nerd Fashion doesn’t have to end with what you put on your body. So many people have nerded up their houses. It seems that the most popular room to do it in is a kid’s room or in a nursery. It makes sense in a lot of ways because then as an adult you have it but you don’t have to see it all the time. Or if someone comes to visit they don’t think, Wow this is intense. I’m a big fan of the TARDIS wall sticker and probably would put that somewhere in my apartment for people to see. Or a Blue door to the outside would be a nice subtle way for a geek reference.
A couple of days ago I was sitting in one of my favorite coffee shops writing and I noticed a sign on the door talking about a contest for latte art. I started thinking about all of the cool things you can do with latte foam. Now, may I present to you a collection of nerd foam.
I love the vinyl stickers you see on people’s laptops and cars. Right now I have Batman on my computer, I used to have a TARDIS but it was injured in a tragic laptop accident and had to be replaced. I know I can make them myself and 8 bucks a pop at comic cons are way over priced since they’re less than $3 anywhere else, but when they’re standing there looking so colorful, it can be so inspiring, just thinking about all of the places I can put them. I am looking for these stickers now.
They also make them bigger for people to put on their walls. Nerd fashion isn’t just confined to clothes, everything can be nerded up these days.
